Welcome!

Welcome to the new blog everyone (or no one)!

It seems I am going to try to launch this new effort on the go, as I am getting about to go on vacation! A break is very much needed right now. Since I intend travel, and photography of said travel, to be two of the main topics of this blog it seemed an apropos way to begin.

So where am I off to? London!

Specifically I am going in order to catch the final days of the Savage Beauty exhibition at the Victoria & Albert museum. Yes, this retrospective did spend months at the MET in NYC where I very much intended to see it, but somehow could not get my ass in gear to do so. And so now I have to go to London. lol “have” to go! Oh the things I need to suffer. If the exhibition were going to travel on I might have waited but it seems this is the final stop and then all the garments will be returned to the individual collections of people around the world, so if I ever want to see this phenomenal work of Alexander McQueen in person it seems now is my last chance.

I am also looking forward to London as I spent 2 months living there last summer and I very much miss it. I was sent there for work (which was awesome) but unfortunately details changed while I was there and I had to leave earlier than planned and hoped for. There were a lot of things I never got around to seeing or doing, so I am hoping this will mentally feel like I am just picking up where I left off. The biggest difference so far is that I don’t think I quite understood just how expensive London is until now as I plan on my own dime. 🙂 Thankfully with some concerted effort the final details have solidified a lot cheaper than at first go. In any case it will be totally worth it.

So hopefully I will update this while there. I am finishing this while I wait to board my plane so there is hope.
